Christ laments the fate of organized religion. It has become "empty and desolate;" there is no place for God's chosen ones. Its temples are businesses of security, prestige, and profit. Its ministers "whitewashed tombs."

Who are these Lambs of God? They are Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed and many others. They are "first of a great harvest of those who will be raised to life again."

They are the cosmic conscious species Richard Bucke speaks of in his book Cosmic Consciousness

that are faithful partisans of God, inheritors of earth.
As far as I know, as a species, they have not yet been given a name. I choose to call them the Communist species.
Cosmic consciousness is immediate awareness of truth. When we become one with God in cosmic consciousness, the order of the universe (truth) is revealed to us. We don't reason towards it; it is intuitive revelation.
Cosmic consciousnessis "New Jerusalem" signaling end of organized religion. Bucke, in same source cited above, p. 5 reads: "In contact with the flux of cosmic consciousness all religions known and named today will be melted down. The human soul will be revolutionized. Religion will absolutely dominate the race. It will not depend on tradition. It will not be believed and disbelieved. It will not be a part of life, belonging to certain hours, times, occasions. It will not be in prayers, hymns or discourses. It will not depend on special revelations, on the words of gods who came down to teach, nor on any bible or bibles. It will have no mission to save men from their sins or to secure them entrance to heaven. It will not teach a future immortality nor future glories, for immortality and all glory will exist in the here and now. The evidence of immortality will live in every heart as sight in every eye. Doubt of God and of eternal life will be as impossible as is now doubt of existence; the evidence of each will be the same. Religion will govern every minute of every day of all life. Churches, priests, forms creeds, prayers, all agents, all intermediaries between the individual man and God will be permanently replaced by direct unmistakable intercourse. Sin will no longer exist nor will salvation be desired. Men will not worry about death or a future, about the kingdom of heaven, about what may come with and after the cessation of the life of the present body. Each soul will feel and know itself to be immortal, will feel and know that the entire universe with all its good and with all its beauty is for it and belongs to it forever. The world peopled by men possessing cosmic consciousness will be as far removed from the world of today as this is from the world as it was before the advent of self consciousness."
With leisure, the new environmental niche opened by increased production, comes radiation (variation of species arising to fill new environmental space that has opened). From among the many species that have arisen (slaves, slave masters, serfs, feudals, etc.) only one species arises to occupy and possess the planet. This is the cosmic conscious Communist species. They are beings such as Buddha and Jesus, "Lambs of God" who speak the Word of God that connects us to Universe. Their life is non-violent, humble, communal love-as-service-done

with no money involvement.
Organized religions dare not associate themselves with these things. They have become reactionary. They have put on the "mark of the beast." They have become the opiate of the masses. They have sided with the "great prostitute" and "have been made drunk by the wine of her immorality."

The Word of God is not written on their foreheads. They comfort themselves with the individualism and supernaturalism (idealism) which they can "safely" deal with.
God is Creation Universe, Determiner (Nature), and Intelligence (Word). The Communist species seek not to master Nature or worship it but to become one with It. They are Immanuel, God with us. They are Creator not creatures. They are Living Universe. We see them as saviors because they show us we are one with Universe, children of God. They reveal communal life that makes us one with Universe.
Scientific communism (the truth as it applies to individual stages of development) maps the narrow road that leads to God's kingdom and salvation. Communists are not part of the state. The state is the beast that enforces rule of one class over another with its armies, police, laws, and courts. The state must end. New communistic society, born out of the old, replaces it. New species of beings with higher morality and understanding appear and replace the older species. They construct new heaven and new earth using truth (scientific communism) as they step through stages of development in this cycle that ends in communist society.
Religion melts down, withers away as communist society is established. Communist society is a one-world family commune where everyone loves their neighbor as they love themselves, where all are cosmic conscious, where union with Universe is reestablished. Religious institutions can not continue in such a society. They become increasingly bureaucratic, reactionary, opportunistic, and tolerant of the worst crimes against humanity. They splinter. Religious leaders and organizations merge with the people (for example, National Council of Churches and leaders like Martin Luther King Jr.); they become defenders of the people. The forces that oppose defenders of the masses, either openly or covertly, are forces of reaction, forces aligned with the "beast." Titanic struggle envisioned in the book of Revelations is in the air. Armed with truth, Cosmic Conscious species and their supporters build new heaven and new earth.
Majority rule (democracy) and "the people" remain in these latter days when communist society is established and we become Universe once again. Majority rule means the people eventually get what they need. The opposite of majority rule is anarchy.
Anarchy is "A political theory holding all forms of governmental authority to be unnecessary and undesirable and advocating a society based on voluntary cooperation and free association of individuals and groups." Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Tenth Edition
As we approach communist society (stateless society), it appears we approach absolute anarchy (the total lack of governmental authority) and the triumph of democracy. But neither democracy nor anarchy result. We become one with God in cosmic consciousness, brothers and sisters in one-world family where there is no need for governmental authority or for any "voluntary association" or for majority rule. We become one as the parts of our bodies are one. Must parents continue to tell children what to do after children have matured? Authority comes from within.
But until communist society (Kingdom of God) is established, we "Give to Caesar what belongs to him."
Mark 12:17
We give to God what belongs to God. Children of God reject the state, its private property, and the violence it uses to protect this property. All property belongs to children of God. Communion with God has no need for state. But those still in cycle of development toward cosmic-conscious union with God-Universe must yet deal with state (governmental authority); they need someone to tell them the truth. Jesus did not need governmental authority. Children of God reveal Nature's laws, share eternal life of Universe, and exercise Spirit Mastery. Inheritors of this planet advocate unity with God-Universe, not governmental authority; they leave government to Caesar.
In these latter days, cosmic-conscious beings help people achieve oneness with God. This is the true mission of Jesus' teaching--Cosmic Consciousness or oneness with God.

Communication between people and cosmic-conscious beings is mutually beneficial. Buddha and Jesus had supporters who preserved their teachings. Jesus was able to communicate because of popular support. Religious leaders wanted to arrest him but refrained because they feared the people.

Chafe Enterprises, 1993) p. 214-215, says this about Jesus and the support he got from the people: "The people as a whole are responsible for progress; it’s not the result of one person’s work. Christ deliberately went ahead and put out knowledge to the people that was directly against the reactionary ruling class of the time. But he did not understand that it requires the majority of a society to change it. He was able to handle and deal with individuals but when it came to society, his spiritual powers were not enough. This was the meaning of his saying, "Father why have you forsaken me." This has been the case with many great men; they lacked the support of the people. When the people are with you, then this eliminates all sacrifices of people. This is the lesson we must learn."
It was the same with the prophets of the Old Testament as it is today with leaders, organizations, and progressive movements. As people, we support children of God. As children of God we work with people till they become one in Creation Universe. "I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also and they will listen to my voice; and there will be one flock with one shepherd" (John 10:14-16).
No matter how powerful the forces of reaction, the people get what they believe in; they live in their openness to transformation and change. Whatever order exists on our planet today is established by world public opinion or majority belief. Though our primal union with Creator-Universe was negated so that we might progress in knowledge and well being, we live with a powerful will to action (hope) that this primal negation will itself be negated so we may once again be one with Creator-Universe. Finally, love is the water of everlasting life that nourishes and enables us to move towards God's Kingdom. As children of God, we now step through what was once to our ancestors the solid dome covering the earth in which were embedded the sun, the moon and the stars (the culture of religion) into Universe beyond.
