Comrades, I am attaching a short list of proposals for a People's Program. I suggest each of us begin to formulate programs and theory and begin to organize in our respective areas of expertise to facilitate a general program that we can finalize and vote on when we have a chance to meet. Unless we take responsibility for the stewardship of the planet, etc., etc. Also we must begin to think about standards of behavior, activities, and culture for the communities we are planning.
Items:
- I sent an Open Letter #1 by surface and email to Jack & Dave and likewise to Dele & Misha (liberateafrica@aol.com)
- I will continue to search for a location--I hope to make use of the computers with Internet access available in libraries and senior centers locally; we are still at Mardi Gras Motel in Anaheim which has no phone in room. What about moving into a motel somewhere? If we could get enough rooms at or about the same cost as monthly apartment rent, this may work as an interim measure.
- Funding surely needs to be discussed, but I think we need to be together to do it. Ultimately I believe we must rely on the people for funding, but donations, jobs, and others sources of income cannot be ruled out.
- Next Meeting: I think we must hang together or we will surely hang separately (Lincoln?).
