Material development ("our abilities") is essential, but not "primary." Consciousness of right and wrong--the objective of the period of religion--is essential but it too is not primary. In the period of the state, will is primary, will is "the point," will is the guiding principle. Will ("choices") is primary, determining, in the age of the state, the age of mastery/slavery, management/feudalism, control/capitalism, integration/socialism, love/communism.
